2-time WNBA MVP Stewart re-signs with Liberty

Breanna Stewart has officially re-signed with the New York Liberty, a significant move after her pivotal role in leading the team to its inaugural WNBA championship last season. With three league titles and two MVP awards to her name, her return was expected. She averaged 21.8 points and 8.9 rebounds in her two seasons with the Liberty. Despite a recent knee surgery, Stewart is on track for a full recovery before training camp. The Liberty maintain their core lineup, adding new talent in guard Natasha Cloud.
