Zohran Mamdani attempted a 135-pound bench press at Brooklyn's Men's Day open streets event and required full assistance from a spotter to complete two repetitions. He received pep talks and crowd chants encouraging him, and he appeared disappointed after the attempt while crediting the spotter. Mamdani walked along Eastern Parkway, took many selfies with residents near the Brooklyn Museum, and demonstrated soccer skills later in the day. He was born in Uganda and recently celebrated a luxurious wedding in July. Mamdani ended the event by addressing attendees, thanking organizers and saying he looks forward to being the next mayor next year.
