The Hedges Inn, a historically rich boutique hotel in East Hampton, is reopening on May 16 under the new management of Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall. The couple aims to blend tradition with luxury, providing guests with a unique hospitality experience. Guest offerings include Swifty's restaurant, beach butlers, bicycles, and a private residence, all designed to enhance the stay. The Wetenhalls have made minimal updates so far, with plans for more extensive renovations after the summer season to elevate the guest experience further.
Sarah Wetenhall emphasized, "Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where guests can immerse themselves in the quintessential East Hampton experience-where tradition meets luxury and community and connection thrive."
The Hedges Inn, originally founded in 1873, has a rich history, built as a gift from John D. Hedges to his wife, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
