When general manager Barry Trotz opted to extend Juuse Saros' future in Nashville by eight years on July 1, the future of Askarov in Nashville was hard to imagine. Hard to imagine for everyone outside of the organization, that is.
Trotz said the plan for Askarov was more comprehensive than most. "It's disappointing because they put in a lot of hours," Trotz said. "I think it would have been great."
