Flyers 5 (EN), Islanders 3: What are you guys doing?
Briefly

The Isles had a pretty good first period and took a 1-0 lead on a Bo Horvat power play goal! But things started to change after Max Tsyplakov was given a quickly-rescinded major for a high hit that knocked Ryan Poehling out of the game, the Flyers went into full frontier justice mode and the Islanders didn't really respond. This sort of rattle highlighted the team's inability to retaliate effectively in the moment.
But then in the following minutes the officials let the Flyers swing freely with some pretty severe slashes and crosschecks, mostly on Tsyplakov but also on any random Islander they could find. This only amplified the frustration of the Islanders who seemed to be at the mercy of both their opponents and the officials while the Flyers capitalized on the lack of calls.
John Tortorella went into a rage after the quickly-rescinded major penalty, highlighting the chaos from the officiating which allowed the Flyers to take control. The disparity in how the game was officiated was glaring, with no action taken against retaliatory behavior that continued to escalate throughout the game.
