""New York is known for its energy, and our expansive dining options and nightlife are part of what makes our state so great,""
""Now, we're eliminating the killjoy, outdated restrictions on dancing and giving New Yorkers and tourists the opportunity to fully experience the vibrant spirit of New York.""
""hybrid restaurant-tavern license""
Bojangles reopened at 5910 Church Avenue in East Flatbush, between East 59th Street and Ralph Avenue, on Monday, January 12. The location operates 24/7 with the dining room closing at midnight and the drive-thru open at all hours. Menu highlights include chicken biscuit sandwiches, chicken tenders, and sweet berry biscuits. Habib Hashimi’s Hashimi Holding Corporation runs the franchise and plans to open 19 additional New York locations. Bojangles previously had New York locations in the 1980s. A proposal would eliminate the ban on dancing at restaurants that also serve as bars and nightclubs by creating a specific hybrid restaurant-tavern license, with community board approvals and State Liquor Authority review, to allow food, drinks, and dancing.
