The Jaguars aimed to draft Travis Hunter, a two-way player, by trading up from the No. 5 pick to the No. 2 pick with the Browns. After discussions initiated at the 2025 league meetings, the trade was finalized on draft day. The Jaguars sent multiple picks, including a future first-rounder, to acquire the second overall pick. The Browns, instead of selecting a quarterback, chose to gather more draft assets, selecting Mason Graham and Quinshon Judkins, both of whom became starters in 2025.
