Packers' Walker practices in full, targets opener

Quay Walker returned to practice after ankle surgery in late May, missing the last three games of the previous season due to injury. He expressed concerns about his ankle lingering throughout the upcoming season. Although activated from the physically unable to perform list, Walker didn’t participate in full drills until recently. The Packers opted not to pick up his fifth-year option for 2026, which would have guaranteed him a significant salary. Walker remains confident he will play in the season opener against the Lions.
Walker said he had been dealing with the same ankle injury most of last season. He missed the final three games of the regular season but returned for the playoff loss to the Eagles, only to reinjure his ankle in that game.
