"As the Washington Commanders prepare to open their 2025 NFL regular season opener against the New York Giants, they must be as healthy as possible. Specifically, reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback Jayden Daniels will need his full array of weapons available as he begins his sophomore campaign. Washington has spent much of the offseason operating with a limited wide receiver room."
"Brown did not participate in Friday's final practice, which was not a promising sign for his availability. But it turns out he was sitting out for rest purposes, and will be a full go for Week 1 per Zach Selby from the team's website. Noah Brown and Jonathan Jones had a rest day today. Everybody is available and ready to go for Sunday- Zach Selby (@ZachSelbyWC) September 5, 2025"
Washington opens the 2025 regular season against the New York Giants and must maximize roster health for quarterback Jayden Daniels' sophomore year. The wide receiver room was limited in offseason as Terry McLaurin held out for a new contract and Noah Brown suffered a minicamp injury and missed preseason games. Brown missed Friday's practice for rest but is confirmed available for Week 1. Cornerback Jonathan Jones also rested and will play. Right guard Sam Cosmi remains on the PUP list after a torn ACL. Aside from Cosmi, the team has no known injury absences.
