Woman Beaten In Brooklyn Road Rage Incident, Police Say

A 68-year-old woman was assaulted around 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 13 in a parking lot near Food Bazaar Supermarket on Manhattan Avenue in East Williamsburg. A man and a woman in a gray sedan pulled up behind her and the man approached the driver's side and argued. When the victim exited her car, an unidentified woman struck her multiple times and knocked her to the ground. The two suspects returned to their vehicle and fled east on Varet Street. Emergency medical services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where she was listed in stable condition with pain and swelling. Police recovered surveillance footage, released images, and provided Crime Stoppers contact information for tips.
BROOKLYN, NY - A 68-year-old woman was assaulted in a road rage incident, during which the suspect repeatedly punched her and knocked her to the ground, police said. Police said the woman was behind the wheel near the Food Bazaar Supermarket on Manhattan Avenue, close to Moore Street in East Williamsburg, when a man and a woman in a gray sedan pulled up behind her around 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 13.
According to police, the man walked up to the driver's side window and began arguing with the woman. When she got out of her car to confront him, an unidentified woman punched her in the face several times. After knocking the woman to the ground in the parking lot, the pair got back into their vehicle and drove off, police said. They were last seen heading east on Varet Street.
