Windows smashed at 2 North York synagogues Sunday. Police seek suspect | CBC News
Briefly

Toronto police are investigating after two 'suspected hate-motivated' acts occurred at separate synagogues in North York early Sunday morning. A person threw rocks through the front windows, fled on a motorcycle, and is believed to be the same suspect for both incidents.
Steven Bloom of Pride of Israel synagogue stated, 'It's very sad. Our membership is very resilient and did not stop services' after broken windows were discovered on Sunday morning.
A synagogue in the second area targeted has been involved in two other hate-motivated incidents since April. Police treat the investigations as 'suspected hate-motivated offences' and increase police presence in the areas.
MPP Laura Smith condemned the acts, calling them 'appalling' and 'profoundly disturbing.' Residents can expect heightened police presence in response to the incidents.
