Two new judges appointed to Brooklyn Housing Court
Briefly

Chief Administrative Judge Joseph A. Zayas announced the appointment of Javier E. Ortiz and Elyssa O. Slutzky to the Brooklyn Housing Court to address increasing caseloads.
The appointments come as part of a larger initiative funded by the Governor and Legislature, aimed at solving backlogs and enhancing access to justice in New York City.
Both Ortiz and Slutzky bring extensive housing law experience, with Ortiz serving at New York County Housing Court and Slutzky working as a court attorney-referee.
These new judgeships, along with additional staff, will improve case processing and support New York City residents facing housing-related legal challenges.
