Oneil Millise is accused of fatally stabbing 33-year-old Diego Sandoval-Nava on Aug. 1 around 3 p.m. at a deli located at 684 Hegeman Ave. in East New York, police said. Police said they received a 911 call that afternoon, and when officers arrived, they found Sandoval-Nava with multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Police now believe that Millise approached Sandoval-Nava while he was working and got into a verbal dispute before leaving the deli and returning with a knife. He then stabbed Sandoval-Nava multiple times across his body, authorities said. Following the attack, Millise fled the scene in a black sedan, which was last seen heading westbound on Hegeman Avenue toward an unknown destination, police said.
