Hannah Lynch, an 18-year-old former pupil of Latymer Upper School, is missing after the Bayesian superyacht sank off Sicily during a violent storm.
Witnesses reported that the superyacht, which was moored off Palermo, sank within minutes, leaving several people unaccounted for, including Hannah and her father.
Latymer Upper School expressed deep shock and sorrow, stating: 'Our thoughts are with their family and everyone involved as we await further updates.'
Hannah, described as a gifted student and staunch feminist, won an award for English in Year 10 and was set to study at Oxford.
