A woman broke into a temporary rental home where the actor Robert De Niro was staying early Monday morning and attempted to steal items from the residence, according to the police and Mr. De Niro's publicist.Officers from the Police Department's 19th Precinct on the Upper East Side saw the woman, Shanice Aviles, 30, entering the home on 65th Street between Lexington and Park Avenues at about 2:45 a.m., according to the police and a law enforcement official, who was not authorized to speak about the case.
