"Tuesday will see increasing cloud cover as the cold front moves in. According to the latest forecast, there's a 90 percent chance of showers overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday, with up to a half an inch of possible rainfall on both days. National Weather Service forecasters said that this storm brings with it gusts of wind up to 20 miles per hour and temperatures in the 60s."
"According to the U.S Drought Monitor, much of New York City is in "moderate drought," with coastal areas Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island are "abnormally dry." "The incoming front is expected to bring beneficial rain across many of the drought-stricken areas across the Midwest and Northeast," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Brandon Buckingham. "However, it will not be enough to erase the drought conditions.""
"Monday: Sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 5 to 8 mph. Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Monday and Tuesday will be warm with highs near 83 and 81 respectively, then temperatures fall into the 60s with the incoming front.
