Prosecutors: Brooklyn businessman will plead guilty to conspiracy charge in case against Mayor Adams

Erden Arkan, a Brooklyn-based real estate magnate, is set to plead guilty to a conspiracy charge related to illegal campaign contributions aimed at New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Federal prosecutors indicated that Arkan's plea will mark the first public admission of guilt in connection with the corruption indictment of Mayor Adams, which was unveiled in October.
