Pennsylvania man arrested in fatal hit-run collision

Christian Gonzalez, 21, was arrested for allegedly causing a fatal hit-and-run incident involving 42-year-old Pascual Tziquin in Bensonhurst. The collision occurred on June 22 at New Utrecht Avenue and 72nd Street. Tziquin was crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by Gonzalez, who fled the scene but was later apprehended. Tziquin was critically injured and died on June 30. During the week of June 23-29, the NYPD reported 30 collisions in the area, highlighting ongoing traffic safety concerns.
Police arrested 21-year-old Christian Gonzalez of Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, who allegedly was involved in the hit-and-run early on Sunday, June 22, at New Utrecht Avenue and 72 Street.
The pedestrian, later identified as Dyker Heights resident Pascual Tziquin, 42, was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on June 30.
