"The incident began around 10 p.m. Monday when a vehicle refused to stop for New York State Park Police near Willow Grove Road by Exit 15 on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The vehicle then re-entered the parkway, continued south and used Exit 9E to merge onto the New York State Thruway, later exiting at Exit 12 and pulling into the Palisades Center parking lot at roughly 10:15 p.m."
"The driver ran from the stopped vehicle and was quickly taken into custody while a passenger stayed in the car. The fleeing vehicle nearly struck a Haverstraw Police Department cruiser as New York State Park Police and local departments joined the response. One officer was evaluated by EMS at the scene."
A vehicle refused to stop for New York State Park Police near Exit 15 on the Palisades Interstate Parkway around 10 p.m. Monday. The chase continued south on the parkway, transitioned to the New York State Thruway at Exit 9E, and exited at Exit 12 before ending in the Palisades Center parking lot in West Nyack at approximately 10:15 p.m. The driver fled the vehicle and was taken into custody while a passenger remained inside. The vehicle nearly struck a Haverstraw Police Department cruiser during the pursuit. One officer received evaluation from EMS following the multi-agency response.
