A Queens bodega worker fatally stabbed a man in self-defense during an argument about beer after being choked and attacked, as confirmed by trade group spokesman Fernando Mateo.
The worker, according to Mateo, was defending his life and used the knife to protect himself as he felt in imminent danger, despite not seeking trouble or violence.
The incident occurred when the victim allegedly didn't pay for a beer at the store, leading to a confrontation outside where the fatal stabbing took place.
