New York police used an armored vehicle to retake Hamilton Hall at Columbia University after protesters had occupied it; students were hauled away from City College of New York.

Across the country, student protests showed intense emotions, leading to clashes at UCLA, campus closure at Portland State University, and an agreement to end protest at Brown University.
