New Arrest Made In Brutal Attack On MTA Worker In Brooklyn

Leschea Aldridge, 25, was arrested for her involvement in the July 1 attack on MTA worker Marshalee Reid at New Lots Avenue No. 3 train station. Charged with multiple offenses including attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon, Aldridge was released on supervised release after arraignment. The assault occurred when Reid confronted Aldridge and another woman, Ayizhae Thomas, who jumped the turnstile. Both women allegedly repeatedly punched Reid, causing her minor injuries, after which they fled. Emergency responders treated Reid at Brookdale Hospital, where she was stable.
