The vandal struck at Magen David Yeshivah in Gravesend around 6 a.m. and later at Washington Cemetery around 9:50 a.m., using red spray paint on a facade and construction barriers before fleeing on a bicycle. The NYPD classified the incidents as a hate crime and assigned the Hate Crimes Task Force to lead the investigation. Zohran Mamdani condemned the antisemitic acts on social media.
