"According to the New York City Police Department, the attack happened Monday, Jan. 12, around 5:25 p.m., when a 48-year-old Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver stopped a B35 bus in front of 3016 Church Ave. Investigators say an unidentified person boarded the bus and got into a verbal argument with the driver. Things quickly turned physical. Police say the person punched the driver multiple times in the face before getting off the bus and running eastbound on Church Avenue."
"EMS responded to the scene and treated the driver for pain, bruising and swelling to his face. Now, police have released surveillance images of the person they're trying to identify. They describe the individual as a male who was last seen wearing a gray jacket, black sweatpants and white sneakers. Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the person - or who may have information about what happened - to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)."
