Saki Sudo, 28, was acquitted after prosecutors accused her in the Wakayama District Court of killing her 77-year-old author husband Kosuke Nozaki in May 2018.
Prosecutors argued various internet search terms linked Ms. Sudo to their allegations, but she claimed her searches were out of curiosity, not indicative of guilt.
Ms. Sudo stated she merely bought drugs at her husband's request, emphasizing that he could have accidentally or deliberately administered the fatal dose himself.
Mr. Nozaki, in his memoir, expressed an unrelenting desire for sexual encounters with beautiful women, reflecting a life dedicated to pleasure.
