Millions of Cats, the oldest American picture book still in print, and its author, Wanda Gág, are being highlighted at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Gág was known for her unconventional life, taking on multiple lovers and choosing not to marry until she was 50, living a bohemian and creative life.
The museum has a first-edition copy of 'Millions of Cats' on display, a book that won a Newbery Honor award in 1929.
