Methuen officer at troubled department files discrimination suit alleging decades of racist abuse

Officers in Methuen Police Department were accused of making comments about shooting Black supporters of Hillary Clinton, ethnic cleansing, and hanging Black G.I. Joes with bullet holes in a tree, according to a filed complaint.

Charles DeJesus, a current detective in Methuen PD, detailed decades of discrimination within the department, from racial slurs to being called derogatory terms like 'sp-c', highlighting the lack of diversity in the predominantly white force.
