Man's murder conviction overturned after 33 years
Briefly

Oliver Campbell's wrongful conviction for the 1990 murder of Baldev Hoondle has been quashed by judges who declared it 'unsafe', allowing him to rebuild his life.
Upon hearing the ruling, Campbell expressed immense relief saying, 'The fight for justice is finally over after nearly 34 years. I can start my life an innocent man.'
Lord Justice Holroyde stated the judges concluded the convictions were unsafe, taking into account the undue pressure on Campbell that led to his confession, which was misinformed by media.
Supporters of Campbell celebrated the quashing of his conviction, stating, 'We are all in tears. Ollie's life starts now,' highlighting the emotional impact of this long-awaited decision.
