Man (60s) arrested after body found in north Dublin home
"Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 30s following an incident at a residential property in Dublin 5, on Saturday 16th May 2026. Shortly after 12:30am, Gardaí and emergency services responded to a call at a residence on Brookwood Heights, Artane. A male in his 30s was treated at the scene and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later."
"A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in North Dublin. The body of the deceased remains at the residence which is preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. The local Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged."
"A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed, a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) assigned and an incident room established at Clontarf Garda Station.
