The report indicates that female transit workers, making up just 20% of the workforce, faced notably higher victimization rates, highlighting a significant disparity in safety between genders.
Local 100 president Richard Davis articulated concerns over a dramatic rise in violence against transit workers, illustrating that assaults grew nearly 200% between 2018 and 2022.
