Vankovs knifed Michael Murphy after a row, chased him, made a stabbing motion, and left him to die despite passers-by trying to help.
Vankovs, guilty of manslaughter, was found using CCTV and arrested after a manhunt. Victim's family expressed devastation over the loss.
