Justin Timberlake to avoid DWI charge, plead guilty to lesser offense

According to a report from TMZ, a judge has agreed to drop the DWI charge in exchange for a guilty plea to Driving While Ability Impaired.
While the two offenses sound similar, there are lesser penalties for DWAI. The maximum jail term for DWAI by Alcohol is 15 days as opposed to one year for DWI.
Timberlake was arrested and charged with a DWI after being pulled over while driving in Sag Harbor, Long Island on June 18th.
The Sag Harbor Police Department stated Timberlake was pulled over after an officer observed him swerving and blowing past a stop sign.
