Actor Jon Voight publicly called on President Donald Trump to terminate New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's victory, characterizing Mamdani as a Muslim and a Democratic socialist who will ruin the city. Voight warned that the city will become a forbidden place of darkness and a virtual refugee shelter for radical Muslim ideology, claiming the mayoralty poses the most dangerous time for New Yorkers. Voight demanded protection of private property and sanctuary, asserted Mamdani has no right to impose socialist rules, and urged immediate termination of the mayoralty.
