Rudolph Walker revealed his struggles with homelessness while working on EastEnders, stating that he lived a double life and often had to hide his pain from his co-stars.
Recalling his experience, Rudolph said, "Some days on my way to the studio, I would pull up at the side of the road, have a cry. I was starting from scratch again in my 70s."
His castmate Diane Parish noticed his struggles and would often check in on him, showing that even in difficult times, support from colleagues can make a difference.
Walker also mentioned that he sometimes hoped for late-night filming sessions to secure hotel accommodation, reflecting the hardships he faced during that period.
