Holocaust survivor gets $2.5M judgment after suing son for fraud: court docs
Briefly

The evidence is overwhelming that [Ian Mausner] blatantly stole or tried to steal many of [his mother's] assets,” US District Court Judge Jesse Furman noted in the court order.
From 2018 to 2022, Ian Mausner allegedly shifted $1.7 million of his mom's dough into a Robinhood investment account in his own name, all while giving Irena "phony" documents.
The suit charged he forged her name on the deeds of a $2.2 million San Diego apartment and a $2.4 million mansion, trying to gain sole control.
Mausner, a registered investment adviser, was barred from advising clients in 2019 due to SEC charges, yet continued to deceive his mother while managing her assets.
