The marathon is an iconic symbol of NYC's tenacity. I've directed the MTA to fix this mess and allow the marathon to move forward as it always has.
Since 1988, the marathon has used both decks of the Verrazzano Bridge. The MTA threatened to relegate it to one deck until fee was paid.
