Here Comes the Solar Eclipse

On the morning of Saturday, Jan. 24, 1925, New Yorkers traveled northward to see a solar eclipse, with totality north of 96th Street. The event wasn't to recur in New York for almost a century.
After 99 years, the moon's alignment brings a total eclipse that will be visible in parts of New York State, creating excitement reminiscent of the historical eclipse in 1925.
