'Hateful bigot' who attacked Jewish man in NYC lobby slapped with hate crime charge: cops
Briefly

Noora Shalash of Lexington, Kentucky, was charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime after an incident caught on video, where she verbally and physically assaulted a Jewish man, Seth Bell, in a Midtown office building. The assault included profane antisemitic remarks and physical violence, prompting building security to call the police. Witnesses highlighted the classic antisemitic rhetoric she employed, equating Jewish people with conflicts in the Middle East. Shalash's arraignment is pending, reflecting ongoing issues of hate crimes and antisemitism in urban settings.
Shalash, 39, first got into the 'personal space' of a Hasidic man as he was walking through the lobby of the building, according to victim Seth Bell.
'She was equating some random Jewish guy with what was going on in the Middle East, which is classic antisemitism,' said Bell, a Jewish dad of three.
Shalash allegedly also struck Bell's head and kicked at him, according to the video and cops.
Building security called the cops on Shalash, who was dressed in a long skirt, heels and a purple sweater with 'PINK' across it.
