Eyewitnesses saw a gunman on a motorcycle, which police believe was stolen, spray bullets in the direction of the diners, before speeding away down Kingsland High Street in Dalston.
The owner described the scene where the child was eating inside, jumping on chairs, as gunfire erupted, causing fear in at least one other child dining.
The child was one of a party of six including parents, with the mother in distress upon realizing the child had been shot, describing the incident as an unimaginable horror.
The child and three men aged 26, 37, and 42 were injured, with one child hit. The owner expressed upset and shock, emphasizing the tragic impact on the child.
