"The most rewarding part is to have fun, live your life's philosophy, and never give up on your passion," said Lambert, a retired teacher who now calls Sayreville, New Jersey, home. "Life is short, and you only realize that when the Medicare card comes in the mail," she jokingly added. This highlights her outlook on life and the joy she finds in competing.
"I had to give it one more try and started working hard, keeping my eye on the prize," she said. "Working on the four components of the competition (interview, evening gown, 'Philosophy of Life,' and talent) fell into place with careful consideration so that the judges could see my true inner beauty."
