Federal judge tosses civil suit filed in New York accusing Alexander brothers of rape
Briefly

A New York federal judge dismissed a civil lawsuit from Angelica Parker against real estate titans Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander, claiming she was raped by them in 2012. U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan ruled that the lawsuit did not meet New York's statute of limitations, as the alleged incident occurred too long ago, before June 18, 2017. The judge allowed Parker until February 14 to amend claims against Tal Alexander related to another alleged assault. The brothers' legal team characterized Parker as a 'professional plaintiff' due to a previous dismissed case against Oscar De La Hoya.
After reviewing the facts, Judge Kaplan determined that the rape allegation made by Parker fell outside the time limitations set by state law.
The lawsuit is dismissed as the events alleged took place before June 2017, and thus, cannot proceed under New York's statute of limitations.
