New York City's biggest overtime hogs are mostly rank-and-file workers tackling the $6 billion migrant crisis, as they clocked the most O.T. for two years running.
According to city payroll records, fifty-one of the top 100 city employees accumulating overtime worked in Social Services and Homeless Services, aiding migrants.
Kashwayne Burnett, a DSS bookkeeper, worked 3,303 overtime hours, earning $164,760 in overtime, over three times his base salary.
City Councilman Robert Holden expressed concern over the situation, saying it has been a major drain on municipal resources and that taxpayers are fed up.
