Exclusive | JFK gets snubbed on list of romantic airports -but these NY couples say it's the place to find love
Briefly

Despite JFK Airport's low ranking in a recent survey of romantic airports, many New Yorkers defend its charm. Diana Tyson met her husband, Chris, at JFK while both were working for KLM in 1983, illustrating the airport's potential for romance. Although it placed 22nd out of 100 airports, behind locations many deemed less romantic, personal stories like Diana and Chris's argue against this ranking. Their relationship began through work interactions, with fond memories of spending time at the airport, showing JFK's unique romantic allure.
"JFK is a romantic airport!" Diana Tyson, 64, of Massapequa, who met her husband, Chris, at the airport told The Post. "While waiting at the gate, you strike up a conversation with the person sitting next to you - I've seen it plenty of times."
The low ranking, though, fails to account for people like Diana and her husband Chris. The pair's high-flying meet cute came while they were both working for KLM Dutch Airlines at JFK in 1983.
Chris' position at the Special Services Department ... took him all across JFK, but he always found an excuse to stop at the ticketing office and visit Diana.
Diana initially wanted to keep their romance below the radar. "I always wanted to work at the airport. My dad worked at the airport also and we watched the planes take off."
