Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of 50 years to life for Tyrese Haspil, who decapitated and dismembered Gokada's CEO, Fahim Saleh, when he was just 21. This would mean Haspil would be 71 before potentially being eligible for parole.
Roberts, Haspil's lawyer, stated that the 50-to-life term is effectively a life without parole sentence for Haspil, considering his young age and the likelihood of dying in prison.
