New York City FC has unveiled the Excelsior Kit, its home jersey for the 2025 season, celebrating a decade since the club's inception in MLS. This kit, featuring the original club badge, marks the final chance for fans to buy it before a new emblem is introduced. Designed by Adidas, the jersey represents the city's skyline and embodies the club's pursuit of excellence. Celebrations include a commemorative anniversary patch to be worn at upcoming home matches, highlighting the club's achievements and commitment to community development through initiatives like City in the Community.
"Reaching our 10th anniversary is a major milestone for everyone involved with New York City FC – our players, staff, and, most importantly, our fans," said CEO Brad Sims.
Adidas claims the New York City shirt is inspired by the city's iconic skyscrapers and states, 'It reflects New York City FC's relentless pursuit of excellence on and off the field.'
Since its inaugural match in 2015, the club has developed young talent and, through its charitable arm, City in the Community, expanded access to the game.
The New York City FC jersey will feature a commemorative patch for the 10th anniversary, worn during March 8 and March 15 home matches at Yankee Stadium.
