Car repeatedly rams into entrance of NYC synagogue, driver arrested, harrowing video shows
"A driver was arrested after he repeatedly rammed his car into the entrance of a Brooklyn synagogue late Wednesday night - bizarrely claiming "it slipped" as a group of concerned onlookers crowded the scene. The gray Honda Sedan with New Jersey plates was seen in a harrowing video circulating on social media backing up and plowing into a side entrance of Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters in Crown Heights at least four times."
"The driver eventually exits the car and snaps as witnesses huddle nearby, the footage shows. A car intentionally drove into the side doors of 770 Eastern Parkway, Chabad-Lubavitch world headquarters, in Crown Heights. There are no injuries. It slipped, you f-king a-hole!" the driver hissed at a Jewish man while gesturing wildly to his car."
Late Wednesday evening a gray Honda Sedan with New Jersey plates repeatedly backed into and plowed through a side entrance of Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters on Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights. NYPD officers responded at about 8:45 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle collision and found the car had crashed into the doors of a sloped driveway, knocking doors off their hinges. Video shows the driver exiting the vehicle, gesturing and shouting at bystanders. Bystanders identified him to police and he was taken into custody. The driver claimed a mechanical issue and made no terroristic statements; the synagogue was evacuated and no injuries were reported while the NYPD investigates motives.
