Andean Medjedovic, a 22-year-old Canadian, has been charged with stealing $65 million from crypto platforms KyberSwap and Indexed Finance. His alleged schemes involved manipulating token prices by borrowing and trading hundreds of millions worth of tokens. Prosecutors claim he hacked the platforms' vulnerabilities to execute these trades for profit, defrauding investors in the process. Acting U.S. Attorney John Durham emphasized that perpetrators exploiting technology for criminal gain would be pursued globally. Medjedovic, already wanted in Canada for similar offenses, has eluded authorities since at least 2021.
