Bryan Kohberger, charged with the murder of four University of Idaho students, has had his trial venue moved from Moscow to Boise to ensure impartiality.
Defense attorneys argued that the intense media coverage and emotional response from the community made it challenging to assemble an unbiased jury in Moscow.
Despite evidence linking Kohberger to the crime scene, his defense claims he was simply out for a drive, commonly enjoying nighttime activities.
Prosecutors plan to pursue the death penalty if Kohberger is convicted, with the trial now scheduled for June 2025, in a different location.
