The building at 2342 Atlantic Ave. racked up roughly 80 open violations and 280 complaints over the past two years, according to city records. Tenants told WABC-TV they are also dealing with rat infestations, broken water pipes and soaring electric bills tied to alternative heating."
"Citywide, more than 15,000 no-heat complaints were filed between last Friday and Tuesday, including 5,000 involving hot water. The Department of Housing Preservation and Development said it is aware of conditions at the building and is working with management to resolve them. The property's management company did not respond to ABC7's requests for comment."
