Appellate Court will present award honoring AANHPI lawyers

Named in honor of former Presiding Justice Eng, this award recognizes the extraordinary work and achievements of individuals for their notable services in the Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities within the Second Judicial Department, which includes Brooklyn.
This year's award recipients will be New York State Senator Kevin M. Thomas and Chanwoo Lee, Esq., in recognition of their dedication to public service and legal aid contributions to the AANHPI communities.
The Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, will join the Asian American Bar Association of New York and several other co-sponsors in presenting the awards at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 29, at 12:45 p.m.
Brooklyn, known for its 'cool and hip' reputation, remains a place where long-standing residents have continuously improved communities, emphasizing that to them, Brooklyn has always been 'cool.'
